ABOUT ME
I’m Fiorella and I have always liked to bake. My mother is an amazing chef, mainly Italian cuisine and she was always experimenting in the kitchen and bringing the family together with her expertise in cooking. Luckily that left the oven free for me.
My earliest memory of baking independently as a teenager was in my mother’s kitchen. Bran muffins, scones and toasting granola were a few of my specialties. Basically food I could pack to school. Then I worked at the Heron Café and I was making quiche and muffins before it was a popular item on a typical café menu. And the rest is history.
Many of the recipes have been handed down from friends and family as well as inspired from cookbooks or newspaper clippings. He doesn’t know it, yet but Russell will be sharing his recipes, too.
This blog is intended for personal use, for family and friends, especially my children. So when I refer to someone's name, it will be familiar to the people that know and love the family.
I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about a recipe or if you would like a lesson come on over and I’ll show you how it’s done.
